First amassing fans as the charismatic lead singer for Leiria-based indie band Silence 4, David Fonseca has carved out a unique place in the world of Portuguese rock. Singing mostly in English, his repertoire incorporates both the indie anthems of classic Pixies and the confessional balladry of Ryan Adams, topped with a rich and vibrato-driven vocal delivery that directly echoes his idol, Roy Orbison.
