After starting their careers with the Isicathamiya group Hlanganani, Shwi no Mtekhala grew into an award-winning Maskandi duo. By combining distinct tenor vocals with Zulu folk-inspired staccato bass notes, they captured South Africa’s attention with 2004’s “Wangisiza Baba”.
