All year long, Shazam’s music recognition technology tracked what songs were being played on radio stations around the world. (That’s nearly 1 million hours of music each day, broadcasting on more than 40,000 stations from Sacramento to Stockholm to Seoul.) Imagine Dragons scored 10 entries among the most-played songs on our 2024 Radio Chart playlists, while two tracks from Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT landed in the Top 10. New releases from veteran bands Green Day and LINKIN PARK got lots of love on alternative radio, and songs from Noah Kahan landed at both ends of the chart.
