Singer-songwriter Diego Verdaguer began onstage in 1968, in his native Argentina. His debut album, 1976’s Volveré, established his impassioned vocal style, which led to his representing his country in international music festivals—and earned him the affection of the Latin American public. By the end of the '70s, Verdaguer's music was synonymous with romance. He recorded 15 solo albums before his death in January 2022, at the age of 70.
