The Ummah was a production dream team comprised of Q-Tip, J Dilla, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Raphael Saadiq and D'Angelo were also occasional members. The trio produced A Tribe Called Quest's, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, and The Roots, to name a few. The Ummah disbanded after Tribe's last album, but made a major impact on hip-hop and R&B.
