Some songwriters are made, and others are born; Vincent Vallières is definitely in the latter camp. He's been penning his own tunes since secondary school, so even though he was barely out of his teens when he cut his first album, he already sounded like an old soul. Since then, the Quebecois songsmith has received tons of love from the folks at the Felix Awards and become something of a national treasure, with songs that blend a rootsy country-folk twang with shimmering slices of pop rock perfection.
