The boys of Moenia didn't hide their obsession with ‘80s New Wave. In fact, their entire social life for the first half of the ‘90s consisted of geeking out over Depeche Mode, Erasure and New Order and fiddling around on their synthesisers in a garage. The time was well spent, because their emo sound, an updated version of their idols' electro-pop—in Spanish—is pitch-perfect: danceable, nerdy and totally irresistible.
