There is a world I believed I was part of
But now it’s changing
Driven away by the forces I cannot control
So much was taken for granted
And so much is disappearing
While irreversible damage is taking its toll
Wondering why, what I’ve done
But I know there’s no use in pleading -
History’s woven with lessons that haven’t been learnt
Praying in silence and helplessly watching
What shouldn’t be
Wishing to right a wrong, knowing it isn’t my fault
And I sing to the skies
I reach out for the stars
Searching for a glimpse into the past
A silver lining
That will lead us to the light
And leave the rift behind
Though the future is unknown:
(No one can know)
Will we drown or stay afloat?
I’ll chase away my fears
I’ll never allow the despair to take over again
And I sing to the skies
I reach out for the stars
Searching for a glimpse into the past
A silver lining
That will lead us to the light
And leave the rift behind
There is a world I believed I was part of
But now it’s changing
