I remember, I remember
Filled with joy middle of summer
The sun looked brighter
Walking down the boulevard
Slowly paced, reflections in the shutters
Sliding doors with paper squares
Kids running by the gutters
Holding wooden toys, string attached to a ball at the end
Held my card games, my brother had his game boy in hand
Walking aside obachan picking up groceries and snacks
Stroll by the neighbors crops, mountains expanded in the back
Flash forward to a park with my uncle and aunt
A deserted playground, just us, still knew how to have fun
Climbing up a slide that was the shape of a T-Rex
A young boy obsessed with Dinosaurs. Never gave it a rest
Probably sped down that tail, a couple tens of times every session
Made an impression among my fam
Where my mind was invested
Still got photographs of memories that I'll never relive
Can't even remember the streets or city where that playground is
I remember, I remember
Surrounded by dragonflies
And a choir of cicadas
Walking by the rice fields and a neighborhood filled with traditions
Hot and humid weather, sweating through these warm conditions
Pops, brother and I, taking a walk to the local candy store
Seeing reflections in a drainage growing some local flora
And mountains filled with greenery, surrounds our countryside streets
A quiet place I called home where I'd always find my childhood peace
Night times in the living room watching tv
Grandma in her massage chair looking after me
She's Settled in next to her walking stick
We'd watch variety show, some Kids cartoons
Monomane or the OG Star Wars
Chillin on some leather couches next to the living room table
Staring at the cabinet with antiques and random fables
And every stitch of the rug beneath contained my childhood life
Won't see it again, but I appreciate the memories left behind
I remember
I remember
I remember
I remember
幼すぎた青い春の夢
目に刺さるような眩しい夏も
いつか今日が思い出になる
大人になっても忘れたくない
風の香り変わる秋空
あなたが温めてくれた冬
あの場所に行けば
思い出す
必ず
I Remember
