Sometimes you must let people know you don’t belong to them
I’ll pick up the phone and say what’s your name again?
I’ve spent many hours waiting for you
You said you’d take a while you’re taking two
I love to dance upon the line that separates us two
And be anything to you at any time
Don’t take it the wrong way that I do not always call
Won’t you just come over but stay somewhere down the hall?
It’s not that I love being on my own
You just never understand things till your shown
And I just don’t have it in me to be breaking down my moods
So I can be anything to you at any time
The time on the train takes its toll
And there’s no one id queue up for at the polls
But for you id queue all day I’d run a mile
I’d do all day
To be anything to you at any time
I have no homeland anymore its overrun
My cousin thinks he’s going back i’m pretty sure its done
My new address is etched in walls in dreams
In a language it’ll take me years to read
But I could pause for a while have a drink and see your smile
And be anything to you at any time
