Having already explored silky ’80s soft rock on their 2014 epic-in-miniature Nunca Estuve Acá EP, Argentinian crew Bandalos Chinos double down on the laidback vibes for their third album, BACH, and reach a new level of chill. Gone are the surging electro-pop anthems, replaced with wistful post-disco grooves like “Tema de Susana.” But they can also hit the gloriously cheesy heights of their old-school heroes when the mood strikes, deploying the kind of wailing saxophones (“Tu Órbita”) and melodramatic synths (“Demasiado”) that defined the MTV New Wave days.
