Künstler-Biographie
Combining an agile, staccato flow with smooth melodies and observations from the Toronto neighborhood that raised him, LB SPIFFY is an integral part of the region's expansive rap scene. Born in 2002, LB—initials that stand for “loyal boss”—initially gravitated toward physical pastimes like dance and basketball, but by 2017, he locked into rap. He first gained major exposure in 2017 with the release of "My Phone," an infectious song that Drake played in a social media video that same year. Since then, LB's only continued building his buzz and his catalog. In 2018, he came out with So Spiffy, a project that sees him unloading a variety of melodic flows over varied sonic textures. He doubles down on the formula for 2020's Lb No Pounds, on which he shows the range to be playful ("Go Pro" with 2KBABY) or poignant ("Not Lyin"), the mark of a dynamic artist.
