Combining jangly guitars, wistful melodies, and interweaving vocal lines from four distinctive singers, Australian quartet Quivers built their sound on cues taken from both obscure and well-known greats of indie rock. The band used straightforward guitar-pop song structures as foundations to explore expanded instrumentation, with lyrical themes of loss, loneliness, and painful growth coming to the forefront on their 2021 album Golden Doubt.
