Künstler-Biographie
Making ample use of the palette that is the snowswept Canadian landscape, Weeping Tile alternated between heaving indie rock and reflective folk ballads in its brief 1990s life. Centered around the exquisitely pleading, early country-echoing vocals of Sarah Harmer and plaintive guitar work of Luther Wright, the Guelph, Ontario, band created a lush sound, distinctly northern and uniquely its own. After Weeping Tile dissolved in the late ‘90s, Harmer would embark on a quite successful solo career, while Wright forged a cult following with his bluegrass interpretations from odd sources.
