Über DEON
A powerful wordsmith exploring personal crises, DEON makes music to forge human connections through pensive lyrics and haunting melody. But there’s hope here, too. The singer-songwriter’s full-length albums Antiphobic, Oceans, and eulogia; eulogy comprise a series of relatable songs that, taken together, form a narrative of vulnerability and empathy. While his music is inspired by the likes of Ásgeir and Rachael Yamagata (he also opened for the latter in 2013), DEON’s brand of electronica-tinged indie pop-rock takes us someplace that’s at once warm, blue and deeply personal.
