The Boston-based Diecast formed in 1997 and quickly gained a local following among hardcore and metal fans in the area with their blend of melody and heavy rock. A year later, their first proper release arrived in the form of the six-song album Undo the Wicked. They retooled their lineup and had a new a lead singer by third album Tearing Down Your Blue Skies in 2004, with more personnel changes taking place before Internal Revolution appeared in 2006. The band reportedly worked sporadically on new material throughout the next decade, though no new album materialized before lead singer Paul Stoddard died in 2022.
