Über Dirk
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember watching Fleetwood Mac: The Dance live on DVD in the 90s as a kid. As I watched over and over, I decided I wanted to sing like Stevie and play like Lindsey. I still do.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Bleachers, Gone Now
Brandon Flowers, Flamingo (Deluxe Edition)
Harry Styles, Harry Styles
I am fascinated by the blending of real and synthetic instruments. Guitar is my first love, instrument-wise, and all three of these albums have very interesting, nonconventional sounding guitars! The songwriting on these albums is simple and great!

“The Boys of Summer”
This is a cover of a song I grew up listening to hundreds of time. Lyrically, it's a very sad song to me, but the original production, which I love, is upbeat and uplifting, even. I re-produced the song "sadder" to match sonically what I was feeling.
