“Mouth Piece”
It was a reflective time. I wrote it on tour. It’s about heartbreak. It’s about not being accountable. Sumo gave me that beat and it was long. I was determined to write to the entire beat, just telling the truth.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Performing at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. That’s my neighborhood I grew up in. I went on w/ a live band. LL Cool J closed out the evening. Watching him since a kid and sharing the same stage was a serious honor.
