Britain's Echo Vocal Ensemble is also known as the Echo Choir or simply as Echo. The group was formed in 2017 and grew from Genesis Sixteen, a young artist development program operated by the well-established British choir The Sixteen. It has developed a reputation for imaginative programming on several fronts. The group performs in traditional venues and in unusual immersive ones; it works with its conductor, Sarah Latto, without a conductor, and with guests. It also offers improvisation and non-Western works in its concerts as well as traditional repertory. The Echo Vocal Ensemble has participated in various residencies and larger events and has partnered with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The group released its debut album, Innocence, in 2024.
