Montreal-based harpist/singer Emilie Kahn channels indie/pop sensibilities into honest and open songwriting.
Kahn emerged online when her harp cover of Taylor Swift's "Style" went viral due to its pared-down approach and endorsement from Swift herself. However, the cover was not supposed to be representative of her work, as she regularly played in Montreal as Emilie & Ogden -- with Ogden being the specific make of harp she was using. Her debut album, 10,000, arrived in 2015 via Secret City. Kahn spent the next few years supporting the album, eventually changing her performing title to Emilie Kahn in 2018. Around the same time, she began recording her sophomore record, Outro, which saw release in 2019 and was co-produced by Warren C. Spicer (Plants and Animals). ~ Liam Martin
