Rosa helped produce his friend's pop breakthrough, but his own solo albums tend toward rock—more "Light My Fire" than "Shake Your Bon-Bon." The fans still scream, but they also bang their heads, at times transported inward by a touch of the mysterious. Rosa's lyrics suggest romantic poets like Keats and Yeats, and the overall tone is—dare we say—a bit goth.
