Fronted by the charismatic Brandon Boyd, Incubus broke through in the late ‘90s with a dynamic blend of alt-rock, funk-metal, and post-grunge. The California quintet formed in 1991 while they were still in high school and expanded their audience throughout the decade thanks to a relentless touring schedule that included stints at Ozzfest and on Korn's Family Values tour. 1999's double-platinum-selling Make Yourself then pushed the band into the MTV sphere before 2001's Morning View kick-started an impressive run of four consecutive No. 2 chart entries.
