Few artists can step to Lady Saw, the slackness queen who broke sexual taboos and dominated charts in her native Jamaica and scored a goody-goody U.S. pop hit with Vitamin C. Patra, through, makes for a worthy challenger. She may not get as raw, but her left-field collaborations and classic R&B covers still feel like wonderful anomalies.
