Spanish producer Pablo Díaz-Reixa, a.k.a. El Guincho, was light-years ahead of his time as a solo artist; his obsession with the nexus of tropical, African and electronic music in 2008-10 came to sound utterly prescient. He’s parlayed that voracious sonic sense into knotty, textured productions for himself, Björk and Bad Gyal—and also, most remarkably, as the sole co-producer on ROSALÍA’s Grammy-winning 2018 masterpiece EL MAL QUERER.
