Originally formed with the intention of revivifying the monumental fanfares of Afrobeat, The Souljazz Orchestra has enriched its style with strands of jazz, Latin, and funk from around the world. A thickset horn section is the six-man band's foundation, but every song is a slow-boiling cauldron of rhythm in which various instruments are allowed to float to the forefront.
