Talons out to greet my guests

Late is always on time

Never with regrets

The paintings line the hallways

Copycats and tortured artists

All looking for the starry night

And how many missed it

In the sea of glowing lights?

Words escape my mind

Pass the tape, rewind

Replay every line

We stayed up all night

Waiting for a sign

Mirrors in our eyes

It is the strangest behaviour

Arranging all these paper lanterns

As if they'll all stay in line

And I'll miss it again
