Songtexte

I met a traveller, from a distant land
He told me of two legs of stone, so grand
Standing in the desert, near the golden sand
Half buried, a shattered face, a quiet command
A frown, a lip that curled in cold command
The sculptor's touch, so sure, so full of heart
Those feelings live on,
in these lifeless parts
A hand that mocked, a heart that once took part.
On the pedestal, these words, they say: "I'm Ozymandias, king of kings, today.
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
But nothing's left, just ruins in the air
The wreck so vast, it's
boundless and so bare
The sands stretch out, so calm, so far away
