Status Quo’s first live album captures the British boogie rockers’ tireless rhythm section and blazing guitar interplay at the beginning of their epic career. Hearing the six members grapple so fiercely (and tightly) over two nights in Glasgow is a joyride bordering on sensory overload. The highlight of this action-packed set is a 14-minute version of The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues,” complete with extended jamming and infectious crowd participation—though Francis Rossi’s spine-tingling guitar solo on the blues-powered “Most of the Time” is a close second.
