Neil Young’s first album of the new millennium is a sweet, rootsy affair that both harkens back to his beginnings and finally delivers songs that had been brewing for decades. The folky “Razor Love” is a gorgeous, unhurried classic that dates back to the early ‘80s, while even more upbeat numbers like “Buffalo Springfield Again” come wrapped in pastoral piano notes and pedal steel, making the whole album sound like a warm summer evening.
