Although Jenny Lou Carson started her career as a singer, it was as a songwriter that she made her name in country music. In her early-teens, she played guitar and sang with her sisters as the Three Little Maids. She subsequently began to before develop her songwriting, and penned a number of hits in the '40s, including "Never Trust A Woman," "Jealous Heart," "Chained To A Memory," "I’ll Trade All My Tomorrows," and "Don’t Rob Another Man’s Castle." In 1955, "Let Me Go Lover" topped the U.S. country and pop charts, for Hank Snow and Joan Weber respectively, while Ruby Murray took it to number 5 on the U.K. pop charts.
