Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I sang for my Dad when I was 6 years old, and he decided to record me on CD. My Dad is a musician, I'd sing on stage with his Irish band, and once I started I just never stopped
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daniel Caesar, Freudian Lorde, Melodrama Sabrina Claudio, About Time This album came out on my birthday in one of the most inspiring creative years of my life. Melodrama came out when I was living in New York, I would put my headphones in and walk around the city. About Time was so inspiring for me
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tender” 'Tender' was the first song that I wrote to myself, embarking on the journey inward. I realised that music was going to be a part of my own self-discovery, uncovering and remembering. "My Softness is my Superpower" is one of my favourite lines ever.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My parents dancing to my song "Cherry Tree" in the living room when I played it for them. They have been the most supportive foundation, and were the original 'alayna' fans. I'll forever be grateful to them.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to see the world and connect with people and would love for my music to enable that. To play Coachella, Glastonbury, COLORS, work with and be inspired by other creatives, and forever nurture my lifelong relationship with my creativity
