In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 8. Or 9? I scored a goal on my own net in the gold medal game of a hockey tournament. We lost the game. On the ride home, Foreigner's I Want To Know What Love Is came on the radio. It still takes me back to that tear filled drive with my dad.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Chez Simone” Chez Simone is a bar in Montreal. It was the place of final reckoning for an ex lover and I. She was Quebecoise so it was important to me that the song about saying goodbye contained an atonement sung in French.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to play Robbie Roberston in Todd Hayne's wild Dylan biopic I'm Not There. Glen Hansard recorded a version of You Ain't Goin' Nowhere for the soundtrack and brought me up onstage to play it during an encore in Montreal. My fingers bled for days.
