Blowing up with the melodic alt-rap single "Kehlani," rapper/singer Jordan Adetunji is one of Belfast's most promising young talents, fusing sounds from across the genre spectrum into his infectious alternative rap sound. Though he debuted with the 2020 Afrobeats single "Close 2 U," he was quick to play with alternative rock, U.K. drill, and melodic trap as he probed his sound over a run of early singles. Adetunji's 2023 debut mixtape, Rock 'N' Rave, featured heavily processed vocals, Jersey club-inspired bounce, and sharp, glitchy sonics. In 2024, he repurposed many of these ideas into rap templates instead, producing the smash hit "Kehlani," which racked up over 40 million streams in just a couple of weeks and earned a co-sign from Kehlani herself, who appeared on a remix. His 2025 mixtape A Jaguar's Dream featured both versions of the song.
