Βιογραφία καλλιτέχνη
Born Marcellius Kirana Hamonangan in 1977, Marcell started out as a drummer in noted indie rock outfit Puppen before coming to prominence as a vocalist thanks to his link-up with pop diva Shanty on 2002’s “Hanya Memuji”. The single’s success led to his eponymous debut the following year, a collection of R&B-tinged pop ballads that quickly turned the Bandung-born singer into a pop sensation thanks to hits such as “Semusim” and “Firasat”. Later in his career, Marcell broadened his sound palette to include everything from dangdut (“Candu Asmara”) to jazz, notably on 2013’s Platinum Playlist.
