Sunwoojunga is an eclectic singer/songwriter, film composer, and producer whose solo material navigates earnest acoustic song, bright orchestral pop, soul music, jazz, and atmospheric alt-pop, often with a theatrical, retro slant. Making her solo debut in 2006 with Massige, she established a vibrant stylistic scheme that touched on trip-hop, '70s piano pop, horns-injected pop-soul, and lush balladry. 2013's It's Okay, Dear was a more harmonically complex effort incorporating vintage soul, jazz, and arty songwriter pop, and in 2014, she had some minor commercial success with Riano Poom, a collaboration with singer/songwriter Yeom Shin-hye. She composed her first film score in 2017, taking an ambient approach to After My Death. Sunwoojunga returned to solo music with 2019's Serenade, which resulted in her first appearance in Korea's Top 50. Her fourth solo album, 2024's Beyond, was followed by the 2025 EP chan rahn, with her music as capricious as ever.
