In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up we would listen to our uncle play his music from his HP computer, he had a software called Atomix. Those early moments would soon transcend what masses now see as Sweet 6Teen.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Culoe De Song, A Giant Leap Da Capo, Return to the Beginning Sweet 6teen, 16th Avenue Da Capo and Culoe de song are the most creative brains there are and their sounds quickly resonated with us. We dubbed our sound from these timeless classics. From Culoe’s soothing strings to Capo’s thumping bassline, we created our own signature.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gods (feat. Tee de GreatDeeJay)” Our journey has just been difficult because we had no one helping or guiding us. This all changed when we met Tshepiso Tiro, he became more than just a friend. And what he has done for us forever shaped our sound and journey.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Releasing an album under House Afrika has been our most memorable moment in our journey. We used to pester Tim White with our latest work and nothing seemed to cut it. When we finally sent him a body of our work he approved meant a lot to our course.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We have a couple of unreleased projects based on the original works by the likes of Louis Vega, Dj Black Coffee and so much more. Having these finally released with their permission would give such great meaning to our movement.
