With a name meant to rhyme with “tiara,” T-ara is a South Korean girl group known for their hook-heavy dance-pop sound and ever-changing looks.
• With early hits like 2009’s “Bo Peep Bo Peep” and 2011’s “Roly-Poly,” T-ara quickly earned a reputation as dependable hitmakers with concept-based visuals.
• In the midst of T-ara's ongoing success, then-label Core Contents Media continued adding members, including Hwayoung and Areum, as well as a ninth member, Dani, who was announced to join but never actually debuted with the group.
• While T-ara weathered multiple member departures and rumors of in-group bullying, their fanbase continued to support them—particularly in China, where the group has seen considerable success.
• While T-ara never officially announced their breakup, the group's final release under their original label home was the 2017 EP What's My Name?, featuring members Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon.
