In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories date back to the early 90's hip hop and new jack swing artists including Tupac Shakur, Heavy D, Johnny Gill and Jodeci. These artists influences are evident in my songwriting and production and overall taste in music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? JAY-Z, The Blueprint Nas, Stillmatic Willie Hutch, The Mack JAY-Z's "Blueprint" at the top of my list because of the soulful production. I love Willie Hutch's "The Mack" because of its orchestration and Hutch's songwriting abilities. Lastly, Nas' "Stillmatic because of the relevant content and lyricism.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cruise Control, Pt. 2” This song is special to me because how far its taken me. This song was featured in the NBA 2K series and provided me a mainstream introduction to my genre of music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moments are being featured in XXL magazine and appearing in the NBA 2K video game series. These are special because they were both an integral part of my upbringing and culture. These marked the biggest accomplishments of my career.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to work with some of the artists that influenced my style. I would love to tour and perform in front of a large audience.
