Missouri native Rhonda Vincent began performing as a child with her family's band, The Sally Mountain Show. She was still a teen and a member of the group when she released her first solo album in 1990. A few years later, she dabbled in mainstream country, but by 2000 she had rededicated herself to bluegrass. Blending her trad roots with touches of modern country and newgrass, Vincent became more popular than ever, racking up No. 1 albums on the bluegrass charts and an armful of IBMAs over the years. The Wall Street Journal even dubbed her "The New Queen of Bluegrass."
