Ketan Bahirat—a.k.a. Oceantied—took a break from the instrumental rock outfit Until We Last to devote two years to meticulously crafting the sound and feel of his solo EP Tribes. This debut release charts the Bengaluru-based artist’s electronic explorations, reflecting a childhood love of Indian classical music and a lifelong passion for experimentation. The results are fresh and self-assured as Bahirat deftly blends ambient electro beats and jungle influences with samples and sound recordings direct from the streets of India.
