Joel Taylor's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
A native of Sydney, Australia, Joel Taylor is an heir to the melodic piano pop of such classic singer/songwriters as Elton John and his namesake Billy Joel. Learning to play piano from his mother, Taylor left Sydney for Los Angeles when he turned 18. Grinding away at clubs and bars, he also built up a repertoire of original material. Taylor eventually scored some serious industry connections. Bob Clearmountain, an engineer and mixer who worked on classic albums by the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, mixed "Two Sides" and "What Good Is Love," the two tracks on his May 2017 single. Courtney Cox, best known as one of the leads on the '90s sitcom Friends (and who also had a Springsteen connection; she appears in his first music video, "Dancing in the Dark"), directed the video for "Two Sides." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
