In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We started out as an Arctic Monkeys cover band in school way back in 2012. It was only after graduating that we started writing our own music. Jiamei wanted to focus on her career as a landscape architect so Hafi took her place and Ernest joined.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arctic Monkeys, Favourite Worst Nightmare Foals, Total Life Forever Tame Impala, Currents The four of us listen to all kinds of genres of music, however these 3 albums and artistes are ones we share as top influences when we started writing music together. They all have tunes which are timeless classics we never grow tired of.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fools & Liars” We wrote Fools & Liars in my bedroom in under two hours. Eugene had the main guitar riff in his head and the ideas just flowed naturally. The epic thing is we did not have access to drums at the time so Hakim was just hitting pillows with his sticks.
