About BoA
South Korean sensation BoA has been a million-selling recording artist (singing in Korean and Japanese) in Asia since 2000, and to K-pop fans in the U.S., she was no secret. But her introduction to the American and European mainstream happened in a big way when her first English-language CD was released stateside in 2009. Her slick R&B- and hip-hop-inflected music caught the ear of popular rapper Flo Rida, who released a remix of her single "Eat You Up," and BoA made several important live appearances around the same time, boosting sales of both the original single and the album, which cracked the Billboard 200.
Influenced by BoABoA has influenced the music of Tiffany Young, Darik, Tokkii and more.
