In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was hearing Billy Joel's Uptown Girl and wondering why he was singing about supermarket trolleys.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adam & The Ants, Prince Charming (Remastered) Tenpole Tudor, Eddie, Old Bob, Dick and Gary The 101ers, Elgin Avenue Breakdown (Revisited) [feat. Joe Strummer] I chose Elgin Avenue Breakdown because it feels like I’ve discovered a secret—Strummer before The Clash, and its raw. Prince Charming is theatrical and defiant, . Eddie, Old Bob, Dick and Gary is unpolished, loud, and most importantly, fun.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Forks & Knives” The song is a conversation with my younger self and brings back a wave of melancholy.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably finding a five pound note outside the rehearsal studio—just lying there on the ground, like a gift from the universe. Still the most financially rewarding moment of my entire career.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ve always fancied a number one in Japan—mainly so I can follow in the footsteps of the greats, like Madness or Ringo Starr, and land a role in one of those wonderfully bizarre Japanese adverts.
