About Dean Fujioka
After achieving international success as a model and actor, Japanese singer-songwriter Dean Fujioka became a pop star throughout Asia.
∙ He recorded his debut single, “My Dimension,” for 2013’s I Am Ichihashi, a film he also appeared in, wrote, and directed.
∙ On his 2016 album, Cycle, Fujioka worked with Indonesian producer DJ Sumantri (Cinta Laura, Indonesian Idol) and sang in three languages (English, Chinese, and Japanese).
∙ The inspirational “History Maker,” his 2016 signature song, became a global smash after being used as the opening theme song to the award-winning anime series Yuri!!! On Ice.
∙ At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards Japan, his clip for the Top 20 hit “Echo” received Best Alternative Video honors.
∙ The title track from his 2019 EP, Shelly, is used as the theme song to the Japanese TV drama Sherlock: Untold Stories.
