Formed in 1990, pioneering Swedish melodic death-metal band In Flames fused their aggressive sound with Iron Maiden-style guitars.
∙ Soundtrack to Your Escape was their first US hit album, making the Billboard 200 chart in 2004 and selling more than 100,000 copies.
∙ In Flames have won four of Sweden’s Grammis Awards, and in 2006 they were the first metal band to win the Music Export Prize, given to globally successful Swedish artists.
