Lab Coast are a Canadian lo-fi indie rock group specializing in short, hooky pop songs. The directness of the group's songcraft is surprising, given the fact that the group's co-founders, Chris Dadge and David Laing, also create experimental music and free improvisation as part of the Bent Spoon Trio. Lab Coast's releases include the CD-R album Wilding (2010), tapes on Eggy Records and Night People, the full-lengths Walking on Air (2014) and Remember the Moon (2016), and the live tape In Real Life (2017). Lab Coast (2017), released on British label Faux Discx, summed up the band's output to date. ~ Paul Simpson
