The second successive Israeli winners of the Eurovision Song Contest (following Izhar Cohen and Alphabeta), Milk & Honey triumphed at the 1979 finals. The trio of Reuven Gvirtz, Shmulik Bilu, and Yehuda Tamir performed "Hallelujah" with actress and singer Gali Atari. Popular performers in their homeland, Milk & Honey made two subsequent Eurovision appearances, in 1984 (performing "Serenada") and 1989 ("Ani Ma'amin," fronted by vocalist Lea Lupatin). They never progressed beyond the national finals. ~ Dave Thompson
