Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in Texas the 13th Floor Elevators initiated myself with Texas psych and R&B, the blues and folk music were the tools of my earliest songwriting, though the band was named after the Sam Cooke Record Night Beat. Los Saicos too
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 13th Floor Elevators, Easter Everywhere Jimi Hendrix, Band of Gypsys Sam Cooke, Night Beat The solo project I started in Seattle, adopted elements of Texas Psych, 50's R&B and folk music around the 60's and 70's. These albums showed me the range of folk songwriting around counter culture and heady, cerebral freak-beat stylings.

What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing solo shows as Night Beats in 2009-2010. Seeing the impact my music has had on younger artists, citing me as their inspiration to play and write their own songs. Being called a pioneer of the counter culture music of the 2010's through today.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing Antartica, the last continent we haven't played. Headlining the Apollo or Red Rocks. Years of touring internationally and being cited as inspiritation for rock and roll bands around the world, so writing a book perhaps on my story
