In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 4 or 5 my mum, being a single mother, would ask me to make up songs about random objects and things that happened during my day. This is how I began my journey of writing music!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Christina Aguilera, Back to Basics Mac Miller, Swimming Nirvana, Nevermind (Deluxe Edition) Deluxe Edition These three albums, as different as they are, inspire me to write the way I do. Each artist is unique and confident in their art. I want my music to mean something, to be mindful and to inspire other people as they all do.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Memento Mori” ‘Memento Mori’ was originally about a van nicknamed The Barrel’ by Markiplier and fans, ‘The Barrel’ was tragically destroyed by Ethan of Crank Gameplays, making everyone distraught. In order for the van to live on I decided to write a song about it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I was in grade ten I was given a project to write a song leading me to win a bursary it was the first song I recorded an original named ‘Counting Down’. Leading to me to my first live performance at Toronto’s Lula Lounge!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list is never ending because as an artist, I am constantly growing and learning. I want to work with artists in different genres of music such as, Marianas Trench or Ariana Grande! Music and its diversity is what keeps me motivated!
